Tour itinerary
-DAY 1-
The tour starts at 07:00 am at the meeting point and then leaves for the Quito Terrestrial Terminal "Quitumbe", to be able to welcome you and give you instructions so that this new adventure is the best experience.
After the indications, we will begin our trip to the Hacienda Hipolongo Cruz de Mayo, in order to begin our activities.
Once at the Hacienda we can settle into our rooms and rest a bit before having a delicious lunch.
After lunch we will have time to rest and get ready to visit the main church of the Quero canton and its surroundings, and then proceed to the community of Puñachizag to visit the Cerveceria La Quereñita, the only brewery that produces craft beer based on potatoes.
At night, you will have a delicious snack and to end the day by the warmth of the fireplace you will be able to listen to stories of yesteryear from the Hacienda.
-DAY 2-
Very early in the morning (07:00 am) and after a very good night's sleep, a rich breakfast will be waiting for you, in the pure style of a chagra, to take energy to start the day's activities.
Once breakfast is finished (08:00 am) we will depart to the southern end of the hacienda, where we will find ourselves in a grassland moorland in the middle of the Igualata hill. Once at the starting point of the walk, your guide will give you the necessary instructions so that this new adventure is unforgettable for you.
Halfway through the walk we will have time to rest and enjoy a delicious box lunch, in order to continue our walk to the pine forest; During this section of the route, and with a bit of luck, we will be able to see paramo animals such as eagles, wolves, rabbits, and even wild cattle.
At the end of the pine forest, the transport will be waiting for you to take you back to the farm house, where a delicious typical lunch of the area will be waiting for us. After lunch we will have a small riding class (this class can be done depending on the availability of horses within the hacienda) and experiential activities, where we will learn more about the life of a chagra; then we will have free time to rest and recharge.
At night, you will have a delicious snack and to end the day by the warmth of the fireplace you will be able to listen to stories of yesteryear from the Hacienda.
-DAY 3-
On our last day at Hacienda Hipolongo, we will have a delicious breakfast at (08:00 am). After breakfast we will collect our things and start the trip back to Quito; Once in the capital our tour will end.
